Managing Partner Ron D. Herman, the skilled West Palm Beach criminal defense lawyer at Herman Law, P.A., has been elected to a new position—he is now Secretary for the Board of Directors of the Florida Community Alliance, Inc. (FCA). FCA is a locally based organization with a very worthy cause. The nonprofit mental health organization joins forces with criminal justice agencies and other groups to offer much-needed assistance for at-risk youth, adults and their families. Attorney Herman’s new Secretary position is just one of the many ways in which he works to improve his community.
FCA collaborates with law enforcement agencies, the juvenile justice system, mental health agencies, educational programs, community businesses and faith-based programs. The organization offers group therapy, individual and family therapy, case management and various other services. This nonprofit organization’s mission is to use these services to build healthier communities.
Attorney Herman is highly dedicated to using his professional skills to give back to his community. He served as a volunteer judge for the youth court programs that are facilitated by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office and the schools in the local area. He is also on very involved in the Palm Beach County Bar Association, having been appointed to its Law Related Education Committee and the Judicial Relations Committee for 2013-2014 year. Previously, Attorney Herman has served on, among others, the Professionalism, Solo and Small Firm Practice, and Judicial Relations Committees of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, as well as the Palm Beach County Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
